FLO-TEK PIPES & IRRIGATION has grown leaps and bounds during the years since its inception. We are now one of the leading manufactures of uPVC Pipes and Rotomoulded Products in Southern Africa having a turnover of more than BWP 45 million. We manufacture ring and plain socket pipes for water and sewer reticulation to supply in Botswana and for exporting to South africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola and Tanzania. The new projects of Rotational Moulding and HDPE Pipes have started commercial production.
PRODUCTS CAPACITY & PRODUCT RANGE
The company has installed production capacity of 3,500 metric tons per annum with two twin-screw extruders manufactured by Kabra Extrusion Technik Ltd. in collaboration with Battenfeld, Geramny and inline belling machine from SICA, Italy. FLO-TEK PIPES & IRRIGATION produces water reticulation pressure pipes ranging from sizes 50mm to 250mm. Our sewer pipe range includes 100mm to 250mm.
We also manufacture cable ducts according to BTC specification. Our casing pipes range is manufactured as per DIN 4925 Standards from 2" to 10" (63mm to 280mm) nominal diameter. Plumbing pipes are as per ASTM D 1785 from sizes 1/2" to 3" Schedule 40 & 80 are also included in our product range.
In Rotational moulding we manufacture Water tanks sizes ranging from 500 liter to 15000 liter, Sewer tanks, Septic tanks and various products as per the market requirement. The production capacity for Rotational moulding division with two machines is 900 metric tons per annum. We can manufacture HDPE Pipes from 20mm to 110mm in our machinery and our annual production capacity is above 400 metric tons per annum.
2. QUALITY STANDARDS
FLO-TEK PIPES & IRRIGATION is an approved manufacturer of South African Bureau of Standards(SABS). We are a certified manufacturer of SABS 791 for PVC Sewer pipes, SABS 996-1 for PVC Pressure pipes, SABS 967 for PVC Soil, wate and Vent Pipes and SABS-ISO-4427 for HDPE Pipes.
3. QUALITY CONTROL
Our Quality Control laboratory is fully equipped to test the pipes as per SABS 996, SABS 967 & SABS 791. All the measuring instruments used are calibrated by recognized institutes to ensure the correct test results. We are also in process of setting in house calibration facility. All our raw material received is accompanied with manufacturers test certificates.
4. OUR HUMAN RESOURCES
Human Resources are one of the most valueable assets of a company. We have a work force of nearly 100 citizen employeesand 8 expatriates. We have given extensive training to our employees in all aspects of manufacturing and quality control. We have a number of personnel trained specifically for the various machine operations, mixing of compaunds, quality control etc.
5. OUR RAW MATERIAL SUPPLIERS
Basic raw materials and additives for the manufacture of uPVC Pipes are supplied by ISO 9001 companies like Sasol Polymers, associated Additives etc. Our other major suppliers include Wayne Rubber, Chemserve, Idwala Carbonates etc. who are all SABS approved manufacturers.

FLO-TEK PIPES & IRRIGATION enjoys a wide range of customers varying from Government Departments, Parastatals, Multi-national Construction Companies, Building Material Suppliers etc. Department of Water affaris, Botswana Telecommunications Corporation, Water Utilities Corporation, Sladden International, Grinaker-Whyle, Mark Construction, China Civil Engineering, Murray & Roberts, Consolidated Contrators company, Bulders World, etc are to name a few. We are currently supplying to China State for Gabane Project, China Jinagsu for Mahalapye Project and MAK Pty Ltd. for Palapye Project. We are also exporting to countries like South Africa and Zambia. We have valuable customers like Water Technology Plastic Industries in South Africa.
