The promoters of the organisation have immense experience in major companies both locally and internationally Steel Division The Bluenile Group facility produces various types of hot rolled steel products including twisted reinforced bars whose sizes range from 8mm to 32 mm, deformed (TMT) reinforcement bars whose sizes range from 8mm to 32 mm and round bars (8mm to 32 mm). The facility is also equipped with the technology to produce hot rolled angles, flats, Z-bars and T-bars. Wire Division In 2006, Blue Nile Wire Products Limited (“Blue Nile Wire Products”) acquired a steel wire product Manufacturing facility in Kikuyu. The company now manufactures and markets a wide range of steel wire products including wire rods, galvanized wire, wire mesh, BRC, nails, chain link, round wire, barbed wire and binding wire. The company also imports steel products from countries such as China, Turkey, South Africa and Ukraine to market products for the construction and fabrication industry. Blue Nile Wire Products is working to further reinforce its position as a market leader and is therefore expanding its international presence in various upcoming markets. The company has also recently invested in infrastructure and plant & machinery to expand its product offering. The company achieved a 300% growth in sales between 2007 and 2010 and sales are currently estimated at KES1.5 billion (USD 16 million). The Kenyan Bureau of Standards and ISO 9002 accredit the facility.
