Arsho was the first clinical testing laboratory to be established in Ethiopia. The original site illustrated in Piazza is still the best known of the company's laboratories. Arsho is generally accepted to be the leading laboratory and the most widely respected. It was set up in 1972 by Dr. Arshavir Terzian and run by him until his sudden death in 2002.    The business was inherited by his son and daughter Emanuel Terzian and his sister Araxi Demirdjian , who left their home in America to return to Ethiopian to ensure that their family business continued and the well being of staff and patients was protected. Having succeeded in this they sold the company to the present owners who are committed to its continuation and enhancement. In the last two years five new branches have been opened with the latest in Olympia, the Company's flagship.   This is the branch where the latest laboratory equipments for Chemistry, Immunoassay and Haematology are found.  All blood samples from other branches are transported to this branch for analysis.  The branch is situated on the Road from Dembel City Center to Meskel Flower Hotel.  The branch is responsible for referring samples to Bioscientia in Germany and Pathcare in South Africa.  In addition to DNA sample collection service for foreign DNA laboratories is given by this branch.   Chew Berenda Branch Situated in Mercato, the biggest market in Africa, this branch like Haya Hulet Mazoria branch gives clinical services for outpatients and laboratory services for outpatients and laboratory services for referrals and walk-in patients. The clinic is equipped with X-ray, Ultrasound, and ECG machines.   Haya Hulet Mazoria Branch The branch is situated on Haile Gebresilassie Road near Axum Hotel behind Rebeca Building. In addition to Medical Laboratory services, a higher clinic equipped with X-ray, Ultrasound and ECG is available. A Surgeon and an Internist are on Duty from 8 AM to 5 PM every day except Sundays.   Piazza Branch This branch is the registered Head Office of the company. It is where the 1st private Medical Laboratory in Ethiopia was established in 1972. It is still the biggest branch in terms of foot traffic and income.   Cathedral Branch The branch is situated on the road to Cathedral school. It is the HIV center of the company where CD4 count, HIV Viral Load and HIV DNA PCR tests are performed. Other tests are also available in the branch.
