Our employment of the Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) system ensures that all our products are fully consumer-friendly, thus conforming to the required international standards on food safety. Hangana Seafood operates a technologically advanced wet fish factory that includes state of the art equipment and software.  The land-based factory, with a capacity of between 55 t and 70 t throughput of hake per day - depending on size and product mix - secures employment for approximately 1,200 people, inclusive of all the land-based staff.Hangana Seafood is the owner of eight trawlers and manages three chartered trawlers, with lengths varying from 45 to 55 m and loading capacities of 60 to 80 t for fresh hake H&G (headed & gutted). The fleet is managed by the Fleet Operations Department, which comprises a Fleet Director, a Fleet Operations Manager, and a Technical Superintendent.Hangana Seafood operates a wet-fish factory in Walvis Bay. We have our own jetty, ice plant, processing and storage facilities.The factory is equipped with advanced technology that includes Marel software (which records and monitors production processes like input and yield), an Intelligent Portioning Machine (IPM), an auto plate freezer, and a freezing tunnel for individual quick-frozen (IQF) requirements.

Happy World is a family enterprise with operations in Retailing and Trade Services. In Retailing, the Group operates retail outlets for 'Sony' in Consumer Electronics, and for 'Pizza Hut'. In Trade Services, group operations include Commercial Property, Shipping Agency and Solutions in office equipment.Sony Consumer ElectronicsHappy World is the appointed distributor for Sony Consumer Electronics for more than 30 years. Our policy is to conduct retail sales essentially through our stores.  Emphasis is placed on ‘Sony Bravia’, a leading brand in TV sets. Our retail network covers a trade zone from Curepipe to Grand Bay. ‘Happy World Centre’ and ‘Sony World’ are the trade names for our stores.COMMERCIAL PROPERTYLocated in the heart of the financial district, 'Happy World House' is the flagship property. Designed by Tay Kheng Soon of ‘Akitek Tenggara’ in Singapore, the property puts emphasis on an abundance of natural light for better comfort. This is achieved with the aid of a central atrium and the floor-to-ceiling frameless glass panels in offices and shops. Back in 1991, Happy World House was the first to introduce frameless glass panels to Mauritius.  In 2011, the property was re-developed to dedicate the upper floors to contemporary, flexible office premises. It employs more than 7000 people.  Chantier Naval de l'Océan Indien Chantier Naval de l'Océan Indien (CNOI), established in 2001, is involved in the construction, repair and maintenance (including dry-docking) of vessels in Port Louis. It was founded as a joint venture between IBL and Chantier Piriou of Concarneau, France before IBL took a 60% controlling stake. The shipyard's facilities include a covered building berth and slipway for the construction of vessels and vessel sections up to 50 metres long, a dry-dock (130 metres long, 27 metres wide), a ship elevator of 1400 tons and 350 metres of quays which can accommodate ships with a draft reaching up to 8.5 metres for repairs afloat. Ships worked on by the company includes frigates of the French Navy[9] to French and Spanish tunny boats, trawlers, small oil and gas tankers and yachts. Regular customers include the French Navy, which signed a contract for the maintenance and repair of its frigates and patrol ships operating in the Indian Ocean, Sapmer of Reunion island and Austral Fisheries of Australia.
