Incorporated in 2002 it has since taken a leading role in the industry. Tiga Plastic Factory gets its plastic expertise from its other sister companies operating in other African countries. Our group is now one of the leading manufacturers of plastic water tank in Africa. Our experience in the manufacture of plastic water tanks dates back to the last 12 years with. Offices and factories in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Rwanda. We have a long term view for our factory in Sudan and intend to bring all our experience possible to manufacture the best products for the Sudanese people. Apart from this Tiga Plastic Factory also draws it's strengths from the whole group which operates in 7 countries in the fields of FMCG and Industrial Gases. The Meikles, Greatermans and Barbours department store brands have thriving outlets covering all five major cities. New Point Of Sale equipment has been installed in all our Stores which has added greater dimensions to our service and buying sections. Customer transactions are processed with minimal delay as all items are bar coded and scanned at the till points. Customer account information is updated constantly which allows greater flexibility when shopping between branches. The various reports generated on our stock movement provides accurate information to our buyers who are able to plan their reordering cycles and product ranges based on factual stock movement. The Meikles Group will shortly be launching a new Credit Card which will be unique in that a single card will in future allow customers to make purchases at any Meikles, Greatermans, Barbours or Clicks branches nationwide.History of the Thomas Meikle Stores  Thomas Meikle the founder of this vast business empire was a man of vision, he had seen from the outset opportunities on a diversity of fronts, which included the Retail Trade Hotels, Property, Ranching and Investment. In 1910 Tom Meikle had entered the retail trade, until then the Meikle Stores had been mainly wholesale. Grocery departments were introduced to the Bulawayo, Gweru and Mutare branches to enhance the variety of product at these locations. Meikles have always prided themselves on their versatility and enterprise and there are many examples of this. Their first move towards large scale urban modernization was a complete overhaul of its retail group. By 1971 the retail part of the group has grown so much that it was necessary to reshape the organisation to some extent. The retail stores group was formed into one central trading company, which in 1974 bought outright the Greatermans and Checkers, stores complex. This major development increased Meikles retail outlets to 39 stores throughout the country thus providing the group with an even greater national coverage. The name Meikles had become a household name with one synonymous meaning for its clients, an efficiently run, reasonably priced store with variety and quality being its Hallmark. The Department Store Group now has 7 major stores operating in Zimbabwe with 3 of these being located in Harare, namely Barbours, Greatermans and Meikles. The other branches are situated in Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru and Masvingo. The introduction of several smaller satellite stores in the country districts were positively accepted by residents in these areas as it gave them an opportunity to benefit from our well-established Ready Credit scheme.
