Established in April 1999 as a research project in the financial services sector, Afrosoft Holdings (Private) Limited, trading in Zimbabwe as Afrosoft Corporation Limited (ACL), is a SAZ ISO 9001:2000 certified information technology engineering company specializing in research, development and distribution of commercial software solutions.  Afrosoft Holdings has grown to serve the rest of Africa by opening offices in Zambia trading under the same name and in Tanzania trading under the name Breakthrough Technologies Africa. Paint & Allied Services [Pvt.] Limited. was formed in1998 and has been operated / managed since inception by the Managing Director Mr. Ian Hodgson. Paint & Allied have two divisions—a Paint Retail / Wholesale Outlet, and Paint Contracting Division. The two divisions compliment each other. The retail outlet supplies the contract division with raw materials. The technical knowledge of the contract division allows the retail outlet to provide the best and most up-to-date information to our customers. Our considerable in-house experience equips us to advise our customers on the most suitable preparations and applications for all our products. Our staff compliment is made up of extremely competent and knowledgeable individuals who have specialised in the industry and are highly skilled City & Guilds tradesmen. Technical consultants, Supervisors and Foremen have all been with the company for between 12-20 years. This loyal support from our staff has provided continuity and excellent experience working as a team. We have over 150 years of paint knowledge amongst our senior staff. Our sales Staff in the Retail Division have also been with the company for over 7 years and have proved themselves with their selling ability, learning new techniques from our contracting team. Our Sales Team have attended various courses offered locally by Astra Paints and Dulux Ltd. And have also attended Standox courses in Paint Tinting held by Plascon in South Africa. We have a large In-House Tint Room, with an Internationally certified Mixing Bank, which allows us to tint paints to the absolute exact colour that our customers require, especially for the Automotive Industry, who need to match up colours for the lucrative Panel Beating business. We are the only retail outlet in Bulawayo that has the ability and expertise to offer this service. We are Plascon distributors for the Southern Region of Zimbabwe. We are the largest Retail Outlet in Bulawayo, and have been top sellers of our main suppliers Plascon, Astra and Dulux. There is competition in the industry, but we try to distinguish ourselves by offering the best service to our customers. We try by all means not only to provide the customer with a good product, but to back that product up with our technical knowledge and experience of using our products.

NetOne is the first and leading cellular network operator in Zimbabwe based on Global System for Mobile Communications(GSM). The company was launched with 500 lines during the World Solar Summit in September 1996 in Harare. NetOne, a private company wholly owned by government, was formed as a subsidiary of the Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (PTC) in 1996.  Its main focus and objective was to introduce and offer mobile cellular telecommunications to complement the fixed line telecommunication services offered by PTC. Since then, service has been extended to all cities, towns, tourist resorts, mining, farming and rural areas. NetOne boasts of the widest coverage in Zimbabwe.    NetOne has a number of key channels for acquiring customers, including connecting through Service providers namely Firstel (Pvt) Ltd and Zellco (Pvt) Ltd and its own flagship shops branded as One World shops. NetOne and its Service Providers offer a wide range of services including sale of sim cards, handsets, airtime and the dispatch of customer bills.    The network has since expanded from five hundred to an aggregate customer base of five hundred thousand subscribers.    Apart from offering the basic telephone service, NetOne also offers supplementary and Value Added services like Vehicle tracking and monitoring, International roaming, Fax, data, Voice mail, Equipment Identity register, SOS and Short message services.    On the 4th of September 2006, NetOne celebrated: 10 years of industry leadership. 10 years of engineering and communications excellence. 10 years of public communications. 10 years of successful enterprise and widest coverage.    In its core business of communications, NetOne takes the stance and belief that communication defines humanity and brings people together regardless of distance. It is for this reason that it has proved to be the nation's provider of an effective and efficient cellular network service, bringing communication to all across the mountains and rivers of Zimbabwe. The company is also installing new base stations in strategic tourist resort centres in preparation for the 2010 world cup matches and generally supporting the tourism recovery programme.
