Incorporated in 1988, DENG Limited has been a pioneer in bringing advanced engineering to Ghana. DSTC (DENG Solar Training Center), founded in April 2005, is an internationally certified training facility offering training courses in the design, installation and maintenance of solar systems, as well as Solar Water Pumping training courses. Almost two decades and thousands of projects later, we are working harder than ever to excel in our main areas of expertise and to continuously expand our horizons to new markets. With our main offices located in Accra, we have a strong presence throughout Ghana, and are currently expanding into other West African countries.  DENG is primarily an engineering/technology solutions provider and equipment supplier. The award was presented by former Vice-President Al Gore in London (UK) to a team of DENG representatives present at the awards ceremony.

FJP is a firm of Management Consultants & Chartered Accountants and was established both Freetown and Banjul in July 1997. The origins of the practice are to be found in a leading accounting and auditing practice that was established in Freetown in the late 1960s until its transformation in 1997 by the present management. Gamcel (Gambia Telecommunications Cellular Company Limited) was established by incorporation on the 16th November, 2000, as a limited liability company under the company's Act of 1955. The memorandum of association underscores its main objects clause as the provision of GSM Cellular services, selling of mobile subscriber radio units and entry into roaming agreement with other cellular operators around the world. Gamcel is a subsidiary of Gamtel. The registered office of this company for the purpose of 'notice' is 3 Nelson Mandela Street, in Banjul and has a customer services branch near Westfield Junction. Gamcel's mission is to satisfy its customers by offering a GSM service of international standard, professional, and user-friendly to the Gambian population. Commercial operations began on the 25th May 2001 when the GSM network was first introduced, replacing the obsolete analogue network (TACS). The GSM system 900MHz), which is used, is operating in over 60% of the world. An offer for the implementation of this new network consisting of 20 Base stations and a switching capacity of 15,000 customers was prepared by ALCATEL, a reputable French firm in Telecommunications and accepted by Gamtel the parent company on behalf of the subsidiary company. Gamcel's initial strategy priority is urban and business areas, the coverage of which has been successfully completed with the first investment. The second part of our strategy is to cover the main roads of the Gambia so that coverage will be offered to people upcountry who have not been satisfied yet and who have expressed their need to Gamcel customer care. Gamcel operates 2 types of services namely: post-paid and prepaid. The post-paid service is locally known as Ndanaan, and the prepaid as Kumpo. About 3% of its customer base is post-paid. The tariffs of these two services are different. Prepaid is an upfront cash payment of consumptions whilst post-paid is a monthly invoice of consumption. The Prepaid, which 97% of our customers base belong to, is a 'pay as u go service and thus all facility charge and the customer needs to initially provide security deposit. Customer's are recorded and managed in a computerized systems. Apart from the facility of making local and international calls from anywhere within the Gambia, roaming has been introduced. Roaming agreements have been signed with Senegal and Luxemburg and there are currently other countries scheduled to sign similar agreements with Gamcel. The roaming tariff is more lucrative for the company and Gamcel stands to benefit in foreign exchange particularly from visitors to The Gambia, diplomats and the business community. On the December 4 2008 it was reported in The Point newspaper that Mrs. Fatim Badjie-Janneh, Secretary of State for Communications, Information and Information Technology, had announced by the Government of the Gambia to dispose of 80% ownership of Gamcel, the country's cellular company to potential investors in and outside the country while they maintain 20% minority stake.

GAP Consultants is a Gambia-based, limited liability company, with expertise in architecture and urban development planning. The company has accumulated considerable experience in architectural/civil works design and works supervision and in analysing problems associated with population growth and urban development since its incorporation in 1992. GAP Consultants is managed by firm principals Roddie Cole and Joseph Sarre who hold respective but overlapping responsibilities in planning & technical studies and in architecture & construction management. Team:  Gap Consultants keeps a full-time number of specialists on the staff who are quantity surveyors, civil engineers, town planners and social planners. In addition they have partnerships with other professionals for the effective execution of certain projects. For the carrying out of technical surveys, GAP has put together teams made up of many experts including statisticians, mechanical engineers to check load densities, sanitation experts and solar engineers. Works:  The company has been engaged in the planning layout and construction of many purpose built offices for our local banks which includes GTBank, Standard and Trust Bank. Equipment & IT: Their office is fitted with an array of computers loaded with computer aided design software as well as a large stock of specialist books and magazines for inspirational works. To ensure effective control at each stage of every project and also to guarantee superior quality deliverables, all assignments are managed by either of the two firm principals, backed-up with in-house staff and professional associates.GAP Consultants has conducted a wide range of architectural and engineering projects and technical studies both on its own and in association with international firms. Regular donations are also made to certain educational institutions and local Ngo's.GAP also participates in the Gambia Association of Construction Consultants, Gambia Association of Architects, Inter-Ministerial Technical Committee on Allocation and Management of Land in the TDA.

Horizon Technical Services is an architectural and an engineering firm providing technical drawings and solutions to engineering challenges for house owners and organisations. Our expertise comes from experienced architects from the USA and West Africa. Our quality control in tandem with the engineer's technical drawings simplifies and reduces waste and idle man-hours. Among their services are structural surveys, floor plans, quantity surveying.    Residential Houses:  Our designs range from self-contained private homes such as Dogon Silo Villas, Modern Mediterranean Villas to Sahelian Bungalows.    Commercial Buildings:  We take a different approach to the box or rectangular shaped commercial structures seen all over Africa. Instead our draftsmen create distinct looking structures which appear more pleasing to the eye.    Construction Equipment:  For Gambian builders we also rent scaffolding, acrojack shoring, cement mixers and compactors.
