AMZAR Trading and Services Ltd., was established in 1988 by its two founders and sole shareholders, Mr Amin Ahmed Hassab El Rasoul and Mr Nazar El Sammani Yacoub. The Company, (registration No. C/6427) was set up in order to meet the demand for; A professional food services and catering company in the Sudan to operate at the highest levels in terms of professionalism, customer service and food hygiene. A trading services company that could source and supply both locally and for export a wide range of Sudanese produce of consistently high quality at competitive prices. Since that time and as a direct result of both our dedication to our customers and high professional standards, our company has grown dramatically over the past 3 years. Amzar currently serves meals and provides services to over 2,500 customers every day of the week. We employ a full time staff of five hundred and fifty trained catering professionals with a further one hundred trained staff on standby to rapidly respond to the needs of new or existing clients as they arise. ISO 9001-2000 and our commitment to excellence: Our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards in our work has recently resulted in us being awarded ISO 9001-2000 accreditation an achievement that we are justly proud of as it provides solid evidence for robustness of our working procedures. As part of our constant development we are currently undergoing assessment to achieve "HACCAP" accreditation. Despite this dramatic growth over the years and a large list of distinguished clients, Amin and Nazar continue to play a "hands-on" role with our clients to ensure that all their needs are met. We believe it is this direct involvement with our customers that has been the cornerstone of our success, maintaining AMZAR as the leading Food and Catering Services provider in the Sudan.

Our company naturally resulted from the business evolution of DAR - Direcção de Aeronaútica - a business unit of Sonangol U.E.E. established on October 10, 1979 after the discovery of oil reserves in the Angolan offshore. DAR activity was to provide air transportation to the local oil industry. The rapid growth of the oil industry soon demanded more services and for Sonangol emerged the need to have an autonomous company that would meet not only the needs of the oil companies but that would evolve with the market changes as well. Therefore, on February 16, 1998 SonAir Airlines Services, SA was established as a subsidiary of Sonangol Group. What we do The core business of SonAir is essentially supporting the oil industry. Our other activities are passenger transportation – in country regionally and internationally - and cargo freight. Most of our charter services are offered on a commuter basis contract to the oil companies in the local industry. Since 2004 we also operate regular commercial flights to a few national destinations. Most of our services are rendered in Angola, but SonAir is prepared to meet demands for more international destinations in Africa and in Europe and to face the challenges proposed by the aviation industry.

Prodiaman LDA is a diversified Angolan corporation with over 370 employees formed and run by Angolan nationals with extensive experience in the government representative process representing foreign companies seeking to maximize their business opportunities in Angola. Prodiaman has extensive experience in the oil and gas, mining and their respective support services.  Prodiaman through its interest in Prodoil Sarl acquired a working interest in Block 1, offshore Angola in which Tullow Oil, Plc. will be the operator for the project's oil development and exploration program. Prodiaman including through its joint venture, TEST Angola, is involved in the design and service of control panels (pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical) and systems that monitor and control the production of oil and gas. Additionally, Prodiaman through its joint venture, CLARIANT Angola, is engaged in the sale of specialty chemicals and services to the oil and gas industry.    Prodiaman through its investment in Prodoil Sarl created Paragon Angola with AMEC Paragon, Inc., a leading international engineering consulting company and an affiliate of AMEC plc. , an international project management and services company working in over 40 countries.    Governmental Representative Services - A leading private consulting firm advocating client business proposals before Sonangol and Angolan governmental agencies   Oil and Gas and Mining Industry - A local Angolan company holding working interests with the major oil companies in oil exploration and development activities offshore Angola   Automation and Control Systems - Servicing the major oil companies by providing the design and service of control panels and systems that monitor and control the production of oil and gas   Subsea Equipment - Prodiaman is a joint venture partner with Aker Solutions, a company that provides oilfield products, subsea systems and services for customers in the oil and gas industry world-wide   Logistical Support Services - Security and Protective Services; Automobile and Charter Bus Rentals; Executive Office Rentals   Real Estate Development and Support Services - Prodiaman is a developer of Futila Sea Breeze, a new oceanfront, gated, residential community located at the southern boundary of the Futila Village outside of Cabinda and a short drive from the Chevron Malongo Base.   Restaurant Ownership and Management - Known as one of the most popular beach front restaurants on the Ilha for corporate parties and the broadcast site for Angola world cup soccer     Paragon Angola provides provides engineering services, including "feed" engineering services, process equipment supply, material and construction management and project control to the major oil companies operating in Angola. Prodiaman's logistical divisions provide: Security services to protect individuals, business organizations, and private property located within Angola under the leadership of the highest ranking former leaders of the Angolan military Full automobile and bus rental and leasing services with professional drivers Secure executive office space, furnished or unfurnished, with all related support services.        Prodiaman through its indirect investment in an affiliated company is involved in the construction and development of housing facilities in certain Angolan Provinces Prodiaman also owns and operates one of the largest and most successful restaurant operations in Angola.   Prodiaman is an active member and serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Angola Chamber of Commerce located in Luanda and in Washington, D.C. USA.    The former U.S Ambassador to Angola and the British Ambassador to Angola each visited the Company's and its joint venture partner Paragon Angola's offices on the Ilha in Luanda.

LIS is a private coeducational day school, which offers an English language educational programme for students from age 3 to 18 predominantly to the international community in Luanda. Luanda International School was founded in 1996 and has been developing rapidly ever since.    After a series of rigorous authorization and accreditation visits LIS in now an all through IB School offering the Primary, Middle Years and Diploma programmes and is fully accredited with the CAISA, NEASC and CIS. In September 2003, LIS located in a new, purpose built campus in Luanda Sul, about 20 kilometers south of the city of Luanda.    Today we have a beautiful new campus, and a preschool for three years olds up to high school offering the three IB programmes to over 600 students of 50 nationalities. Mission Luanda International School offers a balanced, academically challenging, English language education to the international community of Luanda, designed to develop individuals who are both independent learners and international citizens.    The Luanda International School believes that education should foster the development of the whole person. We believe students need to develop the ability to think critically, creatively and independently, and to reach their academic and personal potential.    We want students to lead constructive and fulfilling lives, to appreciate and respect a diverse range of cultures and to have a sense of service and responsibility towards the world community.    Currently the teaching staff come from Angola, Australia, Austria, Canada, Colombia, Ireland, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and Zimbabwe.    The school offers all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organization.    We cooperate with the Educational Advising Center of the US Embassy, which continues to offer the TOEFL tests for non-native speakers of English.    We currently have 384 students in the primary school and 162 in the secondary school; a total of 546. Rank in class LIS does not assign rank to students. It is the goal of the teachers at LIS to help each student actualise their potential. Academic reports Students in both the primary and secondary sections of the school receive two formal written reports a year - one at mid-year and the second at the end of the school year.    At appropriate times during the school year progress reports may also be issued for students who join during the school year and for students causing concern. A parent-teacher conference takes place during the first term for all students (in the secondary section this is a three-way conference involving parent, teacher and student).Both primary and secondary students also participate in student-led conferences later in the school year.    LIS runs an after-school activities programme throughout the week which includes a variety of sports. There are various age groups for participation. Some interscholastic games are played when available, and some teams in the older age-groups even travel outside Angola for tournaments. Other activities offered include choir, science, debating, poetry, wildlife, photo-editing and board games clubs, and the school runs the International Award.    Students at LIS are actively encouraged to participate in community and service projects right from the primary school years. Each year, as a culmination of the Primary Year's Programme, the Year 7 class engages in a significant community and service project. Classes in the Middle Year's Programme are involved in community and service projects each year and students in the Diploma Programme complete the Creativity, Action and Service programme as part of the IB Diploma.
